The pall in the atmosphere is apparant, as the doctor walks out of the room, into a corridor of patient worriers. The owner looks up at the good doctor.
"Doctor, doctor, what is your diagnosis?"
The doctor sighs. "Was that bank account addicted to any form of drugs?"
The owner wrinkles his eyebrows in confusion. "No doctor. Whats wrong with it?"
The doctor looked gravely into the owner's eyes. "Its suffering from withdrawal symptoms."

Weekend.
This weekend was crap.
I slept through saturday, and did nothing worthwhile on sunday.
If you think that i like charging people or giving punishment, i suggest you think again. You all know im a nice guy. It is as painful for me as it is for you. I hate resorting to this kind of measures. But if you don't take me seriously that is the result.
Bah. You all don't appreciate what some of us go through for you all.
If you think i don't care, then i have nothing to say. Obviously there must be something wrong with me. I ask u all if u have any questions you all don't ask. I laid down the law straight, talked to you all nicely, warned you all of the consequences.
And you blatantly ignore my advice.
Im not going to preach about this anymore. Im as sick of this battalion as you are. If you do end up under me next time, remember. And don't make the same mistake again.

A.I
Remember a time when artificial intelligence was thought to be just around the corner?
Hmmm... movies like AI and I, Robot glamourised the arrival of artificial intelligence. Robots are going to have a large part in the next act of the Play of Man.
Anyway lets check this out-
Me: *clicks print document*
Com: "Printer error, please check printer."
Me: *Checks printer*
Printer: "Error. Out of colour ink. Please press.....and replace the catridge."
Me. "Hmmm...let try printing black and white."
5 minutes and 3 tries later...
Com: "Failed to print."
Printer: "Out of colour ink."
Me: "IM F&(#% PRINTING A BLACK AND WHITE DOCUMENT!!!!!"
Artificial intelligence? Nah, don't think so. Hey maybe i'll send this to Scott Adams. Inspiration for the next dilbert comic.

CNY 06
A year gone, a year wiser.
I realised that while my immediate family is quite normal... my extended family is not that big. However, if im talking about REALLY extended family...
Its HUGE.
I mean, skip all the aunties, uncles and cousins crap. When my family celebrates CNY, its like "Hey, meet your grandmother's 3rd sister's son's daughter." Or "This is your grandmother's youngest brother's grandson." And that means that...
I have at least 30 people in my "family" that i see only once a year, and i probably won't recognise them walking on the street.
I don't just have cousins... If im correct some of the kids on my mom's side have to call me UNCLE. wow. the best part is that some of them are older than i am.
Hell man, it takes all of my mental power to remember who i greeted happy cny to already when they start walking around...
Well anyway, back to JGL tomorrow. Sigh, small sacrifices for the greater good...

Memoirs of a Geisha...
10 things.
1. I think the book was better.
2. A film based in Japan should be made in Japan by Japanese. Hearing the stilted jap-accented anglo-speak was very very jarring...
3. Zhang Ziyi, Michelle Yeo and Gong Li rocks.
4. Gong Li has a great hairstylist. (EAT THAT DAVID GAN!)
5. As reported by film critics, the film does seem a little on the hasty side, flirting through the life of pre-WW2 Japan like a rollercoaster ride.
6. Does beauty stem from grace, or grace stem from beauty?
7. It is just sad to see the culture of a graceful civilisation mundanised and laughed at by other people.
8. The movie is very colour rich. Visually stunning would be an understatement. The world is brought to life by masterful filming and dramatic angles.
9. As a homage to a disappearing culture, it is a good exposition.
10. I still think the book is better.

Key again???
Why must all 21st birthday party cakes be a key?
This is like the 3rd key cake i've seen.
Still, not bad. Nice to see old faces again... and strangely some not so old faces.
Anyone wants a DJ for a retro party? Call me! I want to do it again!
I think i got a theme for my party... it will be ROCK. All to come dressed as rockers. The girls have an option to come as groupies too. Lets see if we can see Steve Tyler or another Bon Jovi pop up. Then we can get ppl to play... haha...
Jerry wants a RA shaped cake. I think i'll get a guitar or a car shaped cake. The key is just so vague...

F*** F*** F***
Ran like hell to complete my SOC this time.
The stakes? My peace of mind when im clearing leave for the next 2 months.
Amazingly, i ran 9.00-9.20 or so.
Amazing. I guess that all those pushups and situps in KIN did help to boost my fitness a little.
Not to mention the runs (3) in the last 2 weeks.
And what happened? Results voided. Dispatcher couldn't dispatch properly.
CHEESE BUN. (Hint- watch talking cock the movie.)

Credit Cards are a bigger threat to happiness than terrorist attacks.
The title speaks for itself doesnt it?
Think about it...
How else can you spend more money per month than you earn?
Credit creates a false sense of monetary security by enhancing your account balance with credit floors that artificially expand your spending power.
i mean, sure you can use it to buy that new piece of furniture, or that new high tech gizmo now, because you think you can afford it later when you get your pay.
But of course that leads onto the slippery slope argument. What goes for one will soon go for all.
Take this for example. a furniture powerhouse offers a card that allows you to spend up to EIGHT TIMES your salary and credit it to your account.
i don't know about you, but the Singaporean in me cringes when i spend a single cent more than necessary. God knows how people deal with interest rates. For me its give all or give nuts.
Credit empowers people to succumb to short term pleasures that bely the onset of the pain of high debt.
For me, im using a debit card and it rocks. Thats because it doesnt let me spend more money than i have at the moment.
And thats all that i need... yea...
So i plead. do not succumb to the siren sounds of credit and the allure of gold, silver and platinium cards... It is for the greater good.

Happiness is a 3 letter word... or two
Crabbin
Hmmm crabbing was fun. There's always one that gets away though... and it was a biggie!
Statistics:
Party size- 6
Caught about 30-40 crabs, threw half back in because they were too small... =)
We ripped a claw off each of the remaining and threw them back in to repopulate.
Thats about 20 claws.
caught about 5 flower crabs, cooked one, threw the rest back. (takes too long to cook outside)
Ate 10 packs of maggi. =)
Final verdict- Crabbing = good.
parting shots...

Flag?
You know, i just noticed my headbar grow a flag button.
If you hover your mouse over it, it says "please flag if u find any objectionable content."
Objectionally speaking,
If you are evil enough,
you can find everything objectionable.
Heck, sometimes i even find what i say objectionable.
Well anyway, screw that. At least do me a favour and notify me if you find any posts i make discriminatory or objectionable by any means. I'll be happy to (prove you wrong oops i mean) remove it.
Aaaanyway, its been a long time coming but my motivation to work and do my best has evaporated. Don't say i didn't try to keep the flame going, it lasted much much more than what others have done. Its not the O-mood, its just that i cant bring myself to do it anymore. So you know who you are, if you're reading this go f*** yourself. Because YOU managed to do something i almost thought was impossible.
How do you stop a fire?
1. Remove the reason for it to burn.
2. Smother it with apathy and bad decisions. (oops slip of my fingers.)
3. Try too hard to make a bonfire from a simple spark.
4. Abuse the flames needed for cooking to do other much more worthless stuff like fire-juggling and making unnecessary fires.
I'M not going to go on anymore. COUNTING the ways fires can be put out is endless. going DOWN on and on about THE hidden cynicism of life, DAYS can go past without so much as a spark, and then TOgether, it suddenly flares a recORD breaking fire, which finally dies down into the ashes of the past.
Last words,
Bah.
and merry christmas.
All i want for christmas is an early ticket to ORD land... lalala... where the skies are blue, the grass is green, the roads go on so far it seems, where birdies sing, where horses roam, where i hope that i'll be home.

A Satisfied Mind
How many times have you heard someone say
If i had more money, i'd do things my way
But little they know, that its so hard to find
one rich man in ten with a satisfied mind...
Fantastic week. Somehow colour has been brought back into my life.
"A man without goals is like an arrow without an arrowhead, no matter where it goes it will not get to the point."
To my OCS platoon mates, it was nice to see ya all again. Royston's still as irritating. (JUST KIDDING)
To my JC friends, wish there were more of you there today at sentosa, maybe it would be easier to do other stuff rather than lousy attempts at volleyball cause all of us cant play (fun anyway)
To the Sec Sch girls we ran into at Mambo Jambo, hey, lets do it again sometime!
Like i said, gooooood week.
To Ed, stop being such an ass and try to torture me during my coy prof test cos i said i wont go to mambo at expo. Although that would be futile. =p
To end off, another interesting picture from Oz...

Ridin' down the highway
Goin' to a show
Stop in all the by-ways
Playin' rock 'n' roll
Gettin' robbed
Gettin' stoned
Gettin' beat up
Broken boned
Gettin' had
Gettin' took
I tell you folks
It's harder than it looks
It's a long way to the top
If you wanna rock 'n' roll
It's a long way to the top
If you wanna rock 'n' roll
If you think it's easy doin' one night stands
Try playin' in a rock roll band
It's a long way to the top
If you wanna rock 'n' roll

Home Sweet home
Feels good to be back.
Well ok, its a little humid.
And a little warm.
People are sometimes rude and uncooperative.
But its still home...
And thats where the heart is.
Now listening to - Run DMC vs Aerosmith --Walk This Way
Madonna -- Like a Prayer
